Enhancing National Grid Connectivity
Copperbelt Energy Corporation (CEC) offers domestic wheeling services, enabling the transportation of power across Zambia’s national grid through its extensive transmission and distribution network. This service primarily supports Zambia’s national utility, ZESCO, by facilitating the movement of power from major interconnection points to substations throughout the Copperbelt region.
CEC’s robust infrastructure—including 1,070 km of transmission lines and 48 substations—ensures efficient power distribution and reliability within the domestic market. By leveraging this network, CEC plays a pivotal role in strengthening Zambia’s energy sector and supporting national development.
